I played with some of the web 2.0 technologies suggested in this weeks announcement. I found www.prezi.com to be a really neat tool to create, edit and share presentations. Setting up my public account was free and simple with my email address and password established. There were advanced options to register for access to different accounts for an annual fee, but the basic (free) version is pretty awesome. I'm thinking about using Prezi as my main tool to create a presentation for our first produsage assignment coming up.

Is anyone else using Prezi for their assignment? Or does anyone have previous experience with this tool?

  1. I've used prezi for presentations, but admittedly have not participated in the presentation sharing component (which is the element of prezi that makes it 2.0 and not just web-based).

  2. I haven't used prezi personally for presentations, but have sat in lectures and meetings that utilized it. It prevented me from falling asleep, as the the movement of the elements kept my eyes moving. Great tool. Would work to keep kids motivated and spice things up from traditional PPT. Imagine adding a cool beat to it?

  3. I've been using Prezi in the last 2 years, since in Spain people were already using it. Here you have a presentation on the verb "Gustar" that I did for my Spanish students. I don't know why I can't see some of the images that I put and now I see that I overused the "turn" tool, I wouldn't do it now, it's silly: http://prezi.com/zvyehtekedo_/gustar/
