Week 3 Prompt

Prompt: WK 3
What uses might a collaborative wiki or blog have in your chosen (current or desired) work environment? How would they support learning and/or performance? What would be the design and implementation challenges if management tried to do this? What would be the design and implementation challenges of a user-initiated effort?

I hope in the future I can become a distance learning professor and set up course modules for the learners. Wikis and blogs would naturally be incorporated into my modules to facilitate learner collaboration and exploration on a given topic. These collaboration tools would support learning through the sharing of knowledge, studies, and experiences among learners. The design challenges would be to make sure a learner analysis was complete and the learner needs were understood prior to making a design prototype.

Reflection:

My first module design and lesson plan complete :) I'm excited to look through everyone produsage assignments and to receive feedback on my presentation. I had fun putting it together this week. I'm finishing up Here Comes Everybody, and my community research this week. I'm ready to continue to post and collaborate early on to keep up.
