Final Reflection
These six weeks have flown by and my brain is fried! Wow there are SO many Web 2.0 tools and I know we have only just merely scratched the surface of the present tools. So I cannot wait to see what is to come in the future as far as the advancement of the tools and the expansion of social networking. I would have loved if this class was more than 6 weeks however what I have learned and the tools I got an opportunity to explore were incredible. I now have the ability to network and connect in so many different communities of practice. I expanded my Web 2.0 knowledge far past just Facebook which is what I was most familiar with. In this course I created and maintained my first Blog, designed my first lesson plan, designed my first Prezi presentation, and have my first official domain, host, and website I created for my produsage assignment.
I could have participated alot more in the Blackboard discussion topics, but I feel I did a good amount of sharing and commenting on our class blog and our other classmates blogs as well. I really enjoyed our classmates second produsage assignments and their content and design ideas.
The end of this course is Bittersweet, but I'm sure I will be able to incorporate many of the tools we explored into my future graduate career. I'm really looking forward to applying the tools I know into my future ID explorations.

Produsage 2
WOW!
I had the most fun and most frustrating experience with this assignment. I've been an apple fan for a while now and decided to use an application that comes with MacBooks. iWeb was really simple to use as far as designing. The templates were easy to customize and adding new pages would automatically hyperlink them to the top of your website. Then I went to publish and it all went to a big fail. I think creating my website on iWeb before really exploring it was a big mistake. Lesson learned! I probably should have stayed with something a little simpler like a blog or maybe a community of practice through a larger domain. Either way I'm pretty certain my link is public now, but I'm $38 in the hole! My bad :/

Reflection Week 5
...and week 5 is gone. I missed my last chance to partake in a live WebEx session :( I’m still working on my Produsage assignment. I don’t know how I missed the extension, but thanks to Alyns post in our DB with his project and his voice thread I quickly found out about the deadline extension :) I was pleasantly surprised to find out that we have until Wednesday to complete out produsage assignment. I need to leave more feedback for my peers projects. I know I will want feedback and I know how important feedback is to learning and understanding tools and exploration. My goal for this last week to leave as much feedback as I can for my peers first and second produsage projects.

Week 5 Prompt
Week 5
How do you judge the value of expertise on the Web? Does it differ from your notion of expertise in face-to-face settings? Why or why not?
I’d like to begin this blog with a quote by Tuffor (2005):
“Once we free ourselves from the mental limits of viewing this technology as a weak sister to face-to- face synchronous education, the potentials to revolutionize education and learning become readily apparent”
Please feel free to share your comments regarding this quote. I think it is a really powerful statement.
This question can be answered in many different ways, but I don’t think one particular answer is correct. An expertise is an expert in a skill or knowledge in a particular field (Dictionary). This vague definition still does nothing for me as far as explaining what an expert is. Does it vary on the eye of the beholder or must an individual be granted an “expert” certificate, or is it depending upon how much you are able to efficiently and accurately perform on the web while incorporating web 2.0 tools? An expert cannot have a single definition, a MD may be an expert in medicine, but not necessarily an expert in ID, so does this make him a complete expert or just a medical expert and visa verse?
